Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder feels Rhys Priestland will still play a key role this season despite the player being set to leave. The Premiership outfit have confirmed the Wales international will leave the club at the end of the current campaign and now the 32-year-old is considering his options, with a possible return to his homeland being mooted.
Blackadder feels Priestland still has an important role to play as Bath hope to make a push for the Premiership play-off places.
The Kiwi tactician told the club’s official website: “Rhys has been influential, not only on the field but in his leadership off the field.”
He added: “There’s still a lot of rugby to play between now and the end of the season, and I have no doubt he’ll play a key role in the next six months.”
