Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng Taishan have reportedly made a move to sign Crystal Palace forward Christian Benteke.
The Belgium international was a big-money arrival when Palace paid a reported £27million to sign him from Liverpool in 2016 but, after a productive first season at Selhurst Park, he has only scored four times in the Premier League over the last two years.
That does not seem to have put off Shandong, however, as reports are now emerging that the Chinese club have launched a £15million to sign Benteke and they would also be willing to offer the 28-year-old a lucrative £8million-per-year contract.

Benteke’s Belgium international team-mate Marouane Fellaini is already on the books at Shandong, as is former Southampton forward Graziano Pelle.
However, with doubts surrounding the futures of both Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Palace may be reluctant to cash in on another of their assets until they are able to bring in a suitable replacement.
