Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is reportedly ready to put a new deal on the table for manager Rafael Benitez.
Benitez’s current contract at St James’ Park runs out this summer and there are big doubts surrounding his future due to the breakdown in relationship with Ashley over the past season.
The Spanish tactician has been frustrated with the lack of investment and it is thought he could walk away at the end of the campaign if he is not promised more funds.

Ashley, who is still trying to sell the club, did stump up a club-record £21million to sign Paraguay international Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United in January – and it is that kind of deal the manager wants to see more of.
It is being reported the owner is preparing to offer Benitez a new three-year contract worth £15million in a bid to tempt the former Liverpool, Napoli and Real Madrid boss to stay on Tyneside.
