Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has appointed Beninese
referee to officiate the return leg match involving Nigeria’s Kano Pillars and Asante Kosoko in the Champions League Preliminary Round and a Burkinabe to handle the Confederation Cup game between Niger Tornadoes and Sabrina de Conakry on August 23/24, Completesports.com reports.
Pillars host Ashanti Kotoko in the first leg in Kano on Saturday August 10, while Minna-based Tornadoes clash with Santoba de Conakry, Guinea, in Kaduna on the same date – August 10.
For the Ashanti Kotoko – Kano Pillars return clash which will hold between August 23 to 25 in Kumasi, CAF appointed Benin’s Djindo Louis Houngnandande as centre referee, with the trio of Gbemassianlan Narcisse, Eric Ayimavo Ayami Utrich and AL Fadel Adegnika to assist him. Andy Quamie from Liberia is the match commissioner.
For the Sabrina de Conakry vs Niger Tornadoes Confederation Cup second leg match in Conakry, CAF appointed Burkina Faso’s Boureima Sanogo as centre referee, to be assisted by Ahabou Abdoura Wobgo, Daouda Traore and Hamidou Diego, while the match commissioner is Frederick Eric Grentsil from Ghana.
