Didn’t see most of the first half however from what I have seen so far,our struggles with Benin is tactical.Benin closing up spaces not letting us play our football.They press high up the pitch making it difficult to build from the back,the coach knowing Nigeria makes it difficult because he knows Eguavoen plays from the wing so he make sure our wings are properly managed not to cause damage..

First off, what exactly is his obsession with benching our best options in midfield? Any sane coach would know that Onyeka needs to be a priority in that lineup. Instead, Eguaveon opts to bench him and leaves our midfield looking disjointed, as if he expects us to dominate with magic instead of sound strategy.

Moses comes on, and within minutes, we see the difference. Imagine if he’d been on from the start—Benin would’ve had no answer.

And did Eguaveon adapt? Not in the slightest. He saw his wing play neutralized, and his response was to… bench our most dynamic winger and keep Lookman out wide, even though Gasperini has long since figured out that he’s most deadly as a false 9 or a support striker. Eguaveon isn’t reading the room; he’s ignoring every blueprint that could make this team click.
Eguaveon’s tactical rigidity, poor selection choices, and lack of adaptability are actively holding this team back. His substitutions are baffling, his positioning choices seem random, and his inability to exploit even the simplest tactical hints from the opposition is glaring. The World Cup qualifiers demand a coach with vision, adaptability, and respect for the talent on this squad, and Eguaveon simply isn’t delivering.
If we’re serious about the World Cup, we need to face the facts: we’re not getting there with Eguaveon’s approach. The NFF needs to find a coach with experience, tactical intelligence, and an understanding of how to maximize a team’s strengths. The super eagles urgently deserves to have in place a very sound coaching team with excellent players managing skills, tactically and technically sound and imposing to bring the team to par with great teams in Africa and the world in general.. Eguavon could return to his position but needs refresher courses to upgrade his coaching skills.

Iwobi can play as our number 7 so that Fikayo can play in his number 10 position..
Apparently,we need a goal scoring number 10..Moses Simon should be starting all our games from the left until we find a better number 11..We struggle each time he’s not available or on the bench..Lookman should play as a false 9 when Osimhen isn’t available,assist striker when he’s available..
I believe playing our boys in their favoured positions will help the team to be stronger..We toil hard to score most times because players find themselves in strange positions and you can’t get the best from these players in this situation..

When they were busy hyping players because they play for top teams and they eventually come to the national team and play garbage. Eg Boniface, he just needs to go, same goes with iwobi and ihenacho, they have nothing else to offer. This is not Fulham playing, you see iwobi walking about the field, same with lookman who was just losing balls, Aina was playing tired, same was bassey, all those faulting Eguavoens tactics, didn’t he adjust in the second half. The coach saw the problems and made all the necessary changes in the game, I respect him for reading the game on the spot. He substituted these player and we got a draw, and he did not lose the game.
