Malik Beasley says Denver Nuggets showcased their deep team spirit in their stunning comeback win over Memphis Grizzlies.
The Nuggets overcame a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit on Tuesday to edge out the Grizzlies 95-92 to claim their third straight win.
Beasley, who managed 13 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to help them over the line in dramatic fashion, says the team spirit in the camp is so good and everyone fights for each other.
“We just came together,” he told the Denver Post. “That was one of the best wins I’ve ever been a part of here. It was staying together and being humble and sticking together to the end. That’s what my teammates are about.”
He added: “It’s what we do. We just stayed together, kept our heads up and kept playing hard. We’re the best team in this league to me.”
Denver sit second in the Western Conference behind Golden State Warriors and go to New Orleans Pelicans, who are 12th, in the early hours of Thursday.
