Bayer Leverkusen managing director Simon Rofles has confirmed Victor Boniface’s proposed move to Al Nassr is off.
Al Nassr reached agreement with Die Werkself to sign the Nigeria international earlier this week.
The Saudi club however cancelled the deal on Wednesday and opted to sign Aston Villa and Colombia striker Jhon Duran instead.

Leverkusen were set to rake in €60m from the transfer.
The deal would have also made Boniface the highest paid Nigerian football star in history.
“There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay,” Rofles said.
“He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged”.

Either the deal is off or not we have known the kind of mentality Boniface has and this is infectious to the team . He is a loser who runs away from The Battle field. We need men that are willing to die for the team . Tella should be called to replace this guy .
He loves football for the love of money and not for the love of the game. Real guys don’t chase money they chase glory by sharpening their game and then the money will flow.
I said it before that Boniface is not a serious footballer lol…..Nothing wrong with a quick Saudi money grab but Boniface to me is not an ambitious nor a serious footballer…. We don’t need such in the national team. He lives on twitter replying everybody, off field drama like gf break up, accident, fine from club for driving when he should not have. We have 2 crucial must win games and we don’t need an ounce of distraction at all.
Thank goodness I was able to borrow money to buy data for this sort of comment. God bless you my brother. We need only serious players to make watching the Super Eagles worth it.
Home base strikers are better than some of these dead weights from Europe. I was in Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state last week and saw some raw talents who can do well in the national team. Not all these social media footballers.
Truth is Duran is a better option than Boniface… these saudi clubs are beginning to wake up
Bro your comments are too harsh. You don’t know the first thing about Boni or his real situation, yet you are here castigating him. Remember what your mama told you: if you don’t have anything good to say, say nothing at all.
You don’t know what the real situation is, therefore, your silly comments are in error.
Who are you referring to? Me?
