Despite scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest, Calvin Bassey finished third in Fulham’s Player of the Match award.
In the final result that was announced on the club’s website on Sunday, Bassey lost out to Adama Traore.
The former Barcelona star got almost half of the votes by the fans as he polled 45.7 percent.
Saša Lukić was second with 28.1 percent while Bassey got 8.5 percent.
Fulham recorded their third straight win thanks to Bassey’s winner in the 62nd minute.
The Super Eagles star rose to head home Raul Jimenez assist.
It is his first goal in 24 appearances in the Premier League this season.
The last time he scored was in the 2-1 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on February 24, 2024.
Fulham are now in eight place on 39 points in the league table courtesy of the win against Forest.
