Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in superb form as they helped Fulham come from behind to defeat Arsenal 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Going into the game game Fulham had lost their last three Premier League games.
For Arsenal, it is now back-to-back defeats after going into Sunday’s clash on the back of a 2-0 home loss to West Ham.
Also, the Gunners have won just one of their last five games (two defeats and two draws).
Bassey saw 90 minutes of action while Iwobi was replaced on 72 minutes.
Iwobi created two chances while Bassey won five duels and made three tackles.
Arsenal got off to a good start as Bukayo Saka pounced on a rebound to put the visitors 1-0 up on five minutes.
In the 29th minute Raul Jimenez drew Fulham level, as he finished off a brilliant counter attack.
The counter was started after Bassey dislodged Saka off the ball and quickly found a teammate with a pass.
De Cordova-Reid scored Fulham’s second on 59 minutes, smashing the ball past David Raya after the Arsenal defence failed to clear a corner.
Mikel Arteta’s men drop to fourth on 40 points and could find themselves five points behind leaders Liverpool who will host Newcastle on Monday.

Yo!! Bassey has been balling but today he was extra solid. No young yung play or smeh smeh . Aggressive, quick, and strong on the ball. It’s left to the coach to make the best of this lads.
