Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has talked up the possibility of bringing back Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta to the Nou Camp.
After being re-elected as the club’s president earlier this year, Laporta has arguably been handed the toughest job in football.
The LaLiga giants have debts of more than a billion pounds and had no choice but to let Messi join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract.

With that said, things could be on the up as the Barca president refused to rule out a return for both club legends.
With 38-year-old Dani Alves re-joining and Xavi coming back as their new manager, Laporta clearly wants to get the band back together.
“I don’t rule anything out,” Laporta said as Alves was unveiled.
“It happened with Dani, age is a number. They’re two great players.
“I can’t predict what will happen tomorrow, they’re still playing & contracted to other clubs. You never know…”
Injuries have blighted Messi since joining PSG and as such, he has only made five appearances in Ligue 1 so far.
It would be recalled that Messi discussed the possibility of returning to the club but in an off-field role.

Barca with a debt more than a billion pounds on its head, that’s something mhen. Has Messi, a billion pounds to give Barca?
Messi joined PSG with a clause, to offset part of Barca’s debt of more than a billion pounds. The reason the interest in Messi is because Barca hasn’t been doing well lately. And with Xavi saddles with responsibility to increase the club premiums, there is need to buy new players and bringing old hands like Iniesta would be a bonus on bet cash out.
Is it because Iniesta is old that Barca has to place a bet on him? If that is accepted, Messi at 34 doesn’t look any younger. My take is simple, Barca should source for young players.
@Jideola, Barca became dysfunctional immediately Messi departed. The fact will always remain that Messi have always wanted to stay with Barca but Laliga’s Financial Fair Play rules halted his plans. I think he will be happy should Laporta matches his words with action and having to play with old mates could increase the fortune of the club. Wise decision, Laporta.
