Spain boss Robert Moreno says Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati needs to “keep his feet on the ground” after a great start to the season. The 16-year-old has become Barca’s youngest-ever goalscorer in La Liga after netting against Osasuna, in what has been an overall indifferent start for the champions, but a memorable one for the youngster.
He has been warned to keep his feet on the ground by the national coach ahead of the first international break of the campaign.
“He has to keep his feet on the ground,” Moreno said. “He’s gone from youth player to playing at the Camp Nou in no time. “He has to stay patient in every sense and take small steps. “Ernesto will take good care of him, but it’s not a problem if he has to play in the academy or in Victor Valdes’ Juvenil A team. He has to take small steps.”
The Spain boss was talking ahead of his side’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania and the Faroe Islands.
