Nice are ready to mutually agree to terminate Mario Balotelli ‘s contract this month so the striker can move elsewhere, reports say. L’Equipe claims the Italy international is set to ask for a move and wants to be released from his contract, which runs out in the summer, six months early.
The former AC Milan, Inter, Liverpool and Manchester City forward has made 10 Ligue 1 appearances so far this term but has yet to score and it seems a move away in January could suit all parties. Fellow French side Marseille, who came close to signing the 28-year-old in the summer, are still interested in him, while a return to the Premier League could also be an option as struggling Newcastle United are also being linked.

Balotelli initially did well at Nice and hit 15 league goals in his first season there in 2016-17, while last term he managed an impressive 18 goals in the league.
