Rangers defender Leon Balogun has expressed the desire to continue his stay at the club even as he confirmed the extension clause in his contract is close to being triggered.
Balogun penned a one-year contract with the Gers last summer with the option of another year.
“I am playing for an amazing club,” Balogun was quoted by Glasgow Times.

“This season so far has been going really well for me. So, yeah, I just hope it keeps going, I hope I can keep the momentum going and we can then at one point announce that we pulled the trigger.
“Obviously it is under some confidentiality. But it is getting closer and closer. Let’s just say I am quite confident that my time with Rangers is not over after this season.”
The centre-back has featured in 23 games across all competitions for Rangers this season.
