Nigeria defender Leon Balogun is a doubt for Rangers’ trip to Livingston on Wednesday due to injury, Completesports.com reports.
Balogun was replaced by Nathan Patterson at half-time during Rangers’ Europa League home win against Royal Antwerp last Thursday after picking up the injury.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard confirmed the versatile defender will be assessed ahead of the game billed for the Tony Macaroni Stadium.

Not again Balogun, age is catching up with this dude as his muscles are becoming weak. This calls for a gradual quality replacement in the frame of Kelvin Akpoguma who does well at CB compared to the RB. I hope the coach gets this simple equation right.
My thoughts exactly, baloguns best years seem to be behind him. I dont think he can continue playing at the top level for long. We need someone apart from Ajayi to take his place. Akpoguma seems the likely choice. He doesn’t have Leons ball playing ability but he is a decent defender and right now that’s what the team needs.
