Michael Babatunde made his 10th assist of the season for Wyday Casablanca who defeated MC Oujda 3-2 in the Moroccan Brotola league on Friday, reports Completesports.com.
The win extended Wydad Casablanca’s winning streak to six in the Brotola League and eight games across all competitions.
Babatunde making his 20th appearance of the season, picked out Badr Gaddarine with a pinpoint pass in the 74th minute for the goal that sealed the win for the league leaders, Wyday Casablanca.
“We were good enough to deserve the victory,” Babatunde told Completesports.com.
“We won even if it was not too comfortably and the margin could have been bigger.”
Babatunde who has scored twice this season also hopes his performance will earn him a chance to return to the Super Eagles squad for this month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
“I hope to be back in the squad for the game against Seychelles,” he said.
Babatunde last featured for the Super Eagles in a friendly game against Luxembourg three years ago.
