Michael Babatunde says his club Wyday Casablanca are heading into Friday’s CAF Champions League Group A matchday 3 clash with Lobi Stars full of confidence after a 3-1 win over KawKab Marrakech in the Moroccan league on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Wydad Casablanca lost 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns on matchday-2 in Pretoria but remain top of Group A with a superior goal difference of two despite tied on the same points with the remaining three teams; Asec Mimosa, Mamelodi Sundowns and Lobi Stars.
“We are in great form, whether it’s a home or away. We have to take that belief into that game (against Lobi Star) away,” Babatunde told Completesports.com
“Obviously, we are confident about the quality we have in the team, but we don’t have to take them for granted as well because they also want to win.”
The 26-year-old who was an unused substitute in Wydad Casablanca’s loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on matchday 2 is expected to return to the starting line-up on Friday.
Babatunde and his Wydad Casablanca teammates arrived Enugu Wednesday morning aboard a chartered flight for the match with Lobi Stars.
