Atlético Madrid on Tuesday rejected a formal bid from Chelsea for Samu Omorodion.
This is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who stated that the bid is around €30m plus add-ons up to €40m package.
Romano said Chelsea keep considering Omorodion and Jhon Durán as options for new striker.
Atlético Madrid, however insist on their plan to keep Omorodion for next season.
Chelsea have been in the hunt for a new striker as they look to improve on last season.
Last summer signing Cole Palmer shouldered most of the scoring responsibility and the Blues have decided to lessen the burden on the former Manchester City player by hoping to get a proven goal scorer.
Recently, AC Milan joined the race for Omorodion have as a potential alternative target to Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.
Omorodion, who spent last season on-loan at Deportivo Alaves currently has a contract at his parent club, Atletico Madrid, until 2028 and will be viewed as a low cost alternative to who is currently valued at around €40M.
Serie A sides Napoli and AS Roma have also expressed interest in the 20-year-old.
