Atletico Madrid will reportedly offer midfielder Thomas Partey a double-your-money new deal in an attempt to keep him at the club following interest from the likes of Arsenal.
Partey, 26, has been a crucial part of Diego Simeone’s side in recent times, and he has impressed again this season both La Liga and the Champions League.

Although Partey has three years to run on his current deal at Atletico, it is said to include a release clause of just £43.5m which could be activated this summer by interested parties.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is known to want to add a new midfielder to his squad, and sees Partey as the sort of player he would wish to attract.
But according to The Guardian Atletico are preparing to offer the player a new contract which would double his current salary of £65,000-a-week to £130,000-a-week and would increase his release clause to £100m.
It remains to be seen where Partey himself sees his future, having spent the majority of his career at Atletico, and it is not yet known whether he would be keen on a new challenge or prefer to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano.
It is also unclear whether Arsenal would be able to afford to splash out on the player, with uncertainty over their financial situation amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis as well as the fact there is a high chance they won’t be playing Champions League football next season.
The majority of their squad have taken a 12.5 per cent pay cut, but their highest earner Mesut Ozil has refused to do so, although he has made it clear he may be willing to do it in the future but wanted to see the full financial impact of the coronavirus and did not want to rush into a decision.
Ozil is thought to earn around £350,000-a-week at the Emirates.
