Atalanta and Inter Milan have reportedly been tracking Fluminense striker Pedro closely since his return from right knee surgery. Globoesporte claim the Serie A clubs both sent representatives to watch the Rio-born striker in Fluminense’s 1-0 league defeat to Botafogo last Saturday.

The report states Atalanta officials have also watched the 21-year-old in games against Santa Cruz and Goias, although he didn’t score in either of those. Inter’s scouting team are due to watch him again against Cruzeiro on Saturday as they asses whether Pedro is up to the task of replacing Mauro Icardi at the San Siro.
The report claims that Atalanta were interested in Pedro last year, before he was injured, but signed young teammate Roger Ibanez instead in January this year. Pedro scored 10 league goals in 19 starts last season and has two in four since his return from injury.
