Mikel Arteta praised Bukayo Saka for his recent form , amid the suggestion of a possible England call-up from reporters.
There’s no doubt England u19 international Bukayo Saka is in great form at the moment. The young winger-turned-left-back recently hit his 10th assist of the season, to go along with three goals in his first full campaign for the senior side.
Unsurprisingly, the talk of a possible senior England call-up is starting to intensify.
England don’t really have a nailed-on left-back, with Ashley Young playing as a wing-back at the 2018 World Cup. Ben Chilwell is stepping in, for the most part, but behind him the options are pretty weak.

Saka doesn’t have a single England cap, but he’s performing in the Premier League week in, week out. It’s something for Gareth Southgate to think about ahead of the March international break. Reporters asked Mikel Arteta for his thoughts yesterday.
“I don’t know,” Arteta responded. “He deserves a lot of credit for the way he is playing, because he is playing with a lot of courage as well.
“You could see the other night that in difficult moments he wanted to make an impact and he wanted to make risky decisions to try to generate goals. And that’s been him.
“He’s been very consistent with his performance, which at that age normally is not a common thing, but yes, I’m really pleased with him. I don’t know (about an England call-up). That’s not up to me to decide.”

Thanks Arteta for shutting down the stupid suggestion. If it were an English coach like Lampard, he would have added fuel to fire by saying “Yes, Saka deserves a 3-Lions call up” and then Southgate would be rubbing his palms in glee, ready to cap-tie the poor chap.
As for Saka himself, I’m pretty sure he’s been watching Tomori’s situation after all the excitement of an England call up.
Why tag him England U-19 and yet refer him also as not having any England Cap.
Best wait until there’s a cap at any level before making such
Assertion.
Aina is better than this young boy. As always, they just want to prevent the Nigerian from playing for his father land. That’s O.K. We have talents boku.
Yes Edoman. I also believe Aina is better than him. If England will not Destroy Saka’s career, it would not matter to me personally whether he chooses England or Nigeria for the purpose of fairness. But my concern is that the probability is high that they will cap him and dump him soon.
Same for the like of Tomori. What is annoying is their stupidity in thinking they are that important to England. Tammy is not making wave these days… He took a wrong career decision and things are very dicey for his career. It is very likely that he will ne forgotten soon. Once upon a time there was once a Dele Alli….now the rest is history.
