️Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher thinks Arsenal have started to get under Manchester City’s skin.
Manchester City and the Gunners players were involved in a furious bust-up just before the end of Sunday’s dramatic 2-2 draw at the Etihad as tensions threatened to boil over in stoppage time.
The game finished all square as John Stones struck from close range to ensure the Premier League champions remained top of the table – but both sides clashed shortly after his goal.
“When you listen to some of the quotes from some of the Manchester City players – Bernardo Silva mentioning Liverpool, getting a little dig in, or the fact Arsenal haven’t won anything big yet,” Carragher was qouted on Arsenal News Channel.
“I think Akanji came out and said he’s very confident Man City will still go on to win the league.
“You can just see they are starting to get under Manchester City’s skin. And that’s credit to Arsenal, that’s what we want to see.”

Carragher’s analysis has struck a chord with Arsenal fans. After years of rebuilding, they’re finally seeing their team frustrate one of the best squads in the world. As the rivalry heats up, it’s clear that Arsenal’s resurgence is making City’s road to silverware much bumpier. The question now is whether Arsenal can maintain this momentum and dethrone the champions when it counts most.
