Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta says he’s confident Folarin Balogun will extend his deal with the Gunners.
With less than six months to the expiration of his contract, Balogun’s performance in Arsenal’s Europa League games has caught the attention of many clubs in Europe.
Pressed for the latest update on Balogun ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League encounter with Leeds United, Arteta told reporters that Balogun remains part of his plan and would seek to extend his contract.
“I’m still very positive that Flo is going to stay with us and it’s what we’re trying to do as a club, and it’s what I’m trying to do as a manager.
“As far as I know from last week, the player wants to be here, so I’m positive. I think he’s made some big progress in a few months.”
