Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta can’t hide his disappointment after the Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday
Against Liverpool and West Ham over the past week, Arsenal have blown a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 and in the process have taken two points from a possible six.
Arteta said: “For the race of the title, I have no idea. Just as I had no idea seven weeks ago, or 12 weeks ago, or what will happen in three weeks.
“My biggest task is to go again and train really well and on Friday play in the same level that we played in the first 35 minutes against a team that is fighting for their lives, or against Liverpool, but do it for much longer periods.
“Fatigue-wise no because what we produced in the first half against Liverpool was similar and today we put a higher input in the second half than in the first half. We were slower in everything that we did, but I don’t think team is fatigued or looked fatigued. The best way to put it is to convince the team how good they are when they do what they have to do. This is what we have to do in our brains.”
