Joe Aribo was on target for struggling Southampton who got hammered 5-1 by Chelsea at St. Mary’s on Wednesday.
It was Aribo’s second goal in the Premier League this season after opening his account in October in a 3-2 home loss to Leicester.
Aribo equalised for Southampton in the 11th minute after Axel Disasi had opened the scoring on seven minutes.
Chelsea then opened a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke on 17 and 34 minutes respectively.
Southampton had a player sent off in the 39th minute which Chelsea took advantage of as Cole Palmer made it 4-1 on 76 minutes before Jadon Sancho added the fifth on 87 minutes.
Southampton remain bottom on five points while Chelsea are second on 28 points.
