Aribo, Onuachu, Southampton Teammates Equal Unwanted Record After 5-0 Loss To Spurs

Joe Aribo, Paul Onuachu and their Southampton teammates equaled their own Premier League feat after losing 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

A brace from James Maddison and strikes from Son Heung-min, Pape Sarr, and Dejan Kulusevski saw Spurs go into half-time 5-0 up.

This means Southampton are the only team in Premier League history to go in at half-time trailing by a five goal margin on multiple occasions.

They did so against Leicester City in October 2019 (0-5 HT, 0-9 FT) and on Sunday night.

Southampton remain bottom on the log with just five points after 16 games.
