Joe Aribo was named Man of the Match in Southampton’s 2-1 win against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
Aribo was on target for the Saints, giving them the lead in the 21st minute, taking his tally in the league to three.
His Nigerian teammate Paul Onuachu got the winner three minutes from time.
After votes by fans the Premier League announced Aribo Man of the Match after he polled 36.8 percent of the votes to finish ahead of nine other nominees.
The Super Eagles star had 80.5 percent pass completion and one successful dribble.
Liam Delap, who equalised for Ipswich was second with 32.4 percent while Onuachu finished third with 12.8 percent.
Despite the win Southampton are still bottom in the league table on nine points and are 10 points from safety.
