Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo was on for 75 minutes as Rangers defeated Hibernia 2-0 in Wednesday’s Scottish League.
The Nigerian international, who was making his 23rd appearance in the colours of Rangers had a decent performance.
Aribo was substituted in the 75th minute for Aaron Ramsey.
The host took the lead in the 5th minute through James Tavernier’s penalty before Alfredo Morelos extended their lead to 2-0 in the 57th minute with a beautiful finish to ensure Rangers pick maximum points.
However, Leon Balogun, who also had a solid game in the defence, was substituted in the early part of the first half due to injury.
The victory put Rangers second on the league on 62 points.

Age is telling on Balogun gradually very injury prone….I hope Eguavoen can start grooming defenders capable of replacing him and Omeruo
I find it hard to believe that Complete sports fail to mention that Calvin Bassey played the full 90 minutes of that match and was the stand out defender for Rangers FC completley locked the defence down. West Ham also keeping tabs on him. CSN is either part of the problem. Let us see. because above you asked a good question @Footballfanatic you would think a Nigerian Media outlet like CSN will aid with that however with them completey ignoring the fact that Bassey was playing that match. I smell a rat let us see.
However it is Bench warmer Shehu that will will call a boost to the SE. Doom and Gloom we may again have to support other African countries at this years world Cup. even sadder is the fact that we are suppose to potentially have a squad that can rival any team in world Football. I weep for this country.
It looks as if David Okereke would be a good fit for the Super Eagles attack this year. He was lively and threatening when he and Tyronne Ebuehi played host to Napoli. Napoli won 0-2, thanks to a glancing header from our own Victor Osimhen. That put the team ahead 0-1 thus sending his side into ecstasy. Check up and see how much it means to the Naples side in that game. Our boys were in good form and tidings.David Okereke a name to remember (keep in mind/view) based on his showing in that game. One love for you all forumites. A blessed day ahead.
