The Athletics Integrity Union (AIU) has filed an appeal with Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) to overturn the decision that cleared Tobi Amusan for any wrongdoing after she missed three whereabouts tests within a 12-month period.
The appeal is coming less than 24 hours after Amusan successfully defended and won her third consecutive Diamond League 100m hurdles at the weekend.
Her victory came after a poor outing at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, where she finished sixth in the final.
She was temporary suspended by the AIU for missing three whereabouts tests.
The AIU had earlier in July placed Amusan on a provisional ban from all sporting activities and subsequently charged for violating the anti-doping rules after she missed three whereabouts control tests within a 12-month period.
But Amusan was cleared of any wrongdoing by an Independent Disciplinary Tribunal a month later.

Carelessness on Amusan’s part. Why miss three tests, thus is bad. She brought this agro on herself.
