Emmanuel Amuneke has said his immediate task is to help Heartland secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Amuneke was officially appointed new head coach of the Naze Millionaires on Monday.
The 53-year-old was unveiled by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma at his office in Owerri.
The Naze Millionaires will be looking for an immediate return to the NPFL following their relegation last season.

Amuneke, a former Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon said he is ready for the task ahead.
“Your Excellency I am promising you on behalf of myself and the entire Heartland FC that we are going to do our best to ensure Heartland FC returns to its former enviable position,” Amuneke said at the unveiling ceremony.
“I am a someone with objective and I do not involve myself in something that I am not capable of doing.
” I remember when I was unveiled as the coach of Tanzania one of the things I told them was that we would qualify for AFCON 2019 but everybody thought it was a joke but eventually we were able to qualify them for the AFCON for the first time after 39 years.
“Please, be rest assured that we will make sure that with your support we will take Heartland FC back to where it used to be.”

This is good development and humble position for Amunike. My only concern is the criminal IMO State Governor who appointed him. Will he stop buying bleaching-cream and use the money to finance Heartland properly? I know Heartland like the back of my, especially what led to their relegation. Amunike must first of all clear-out all the criminals in management and demand new crew entirely. Continuing with those clanish-criminals appointed by Hope Uzodimna will sink Heartland further or impede their success!
Goodluck to Emmanuel Amunike, former CAF player of the year, scorer of Cup-winning heroic goals and Super Eagles legend.
