Goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton subjected United to a fourth straight defeat.
It was Amorim’s fifth defeat in his first eight league games for United which is the joint-most along with AH Albut in October 1892 and John Chapman in December 1921.
United are now in 14th courtesy the defeat to Newcastle.
Up next for the Red Devils is a difficult trip to Anfield to face rivals and league leaders Liverpool.
