Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets coach, Fatai Amoo has disclosed that the team is setting sights on making the country proud at the forthcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, slated for Morocco.
Nigeria has been pitted alongside Tanzania, Algeria, and Congo in Group B of the tournament. They will face Tanzania on March 14 before confronting Congo and Algeria respectively.
Having achieved a brilliant task with the team coming second in the WAFU tournament, Amoo in a chat with Brila.net stated that the team’s next ambition is the U-17 AFCON.
“The boys are working hard since we resume and they have been responding very well to the information we have been given them in terms of what we want to do over there knowing fully well that it’s a tougher assignment than the WAFU. They are not thinking of anything else other than this AFCON.”
