Former Chile striker, Ivan Zamorano believes that Julian Alvarez is the most complete centre-foward in modern football following his displays at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Alvarez was a key part of La Albiceleste side that won the tournament.
Zamorano posited that Alvarez ticks all the boxes required to be a centre-foward.
“Today in modern football it seems to me that Julian is the most complete that exists, he (Alvarez) is a boy who does everything well,” Sportskeeda quoted Zamorano as saying.
“He is doing very well on the wings, he is good on the side, he is the first defender, he is united with his teammates, he plays very well with his head, he has the physical strength at short or long distance -we saw that with his goal against Croatia.”
Alvarez scored four goals in seven games at Qatar 2022.
He has rippled the net three times in 12 Premier League games for Manchester City this season.
