Marcos Alonso says he is happy at Chelsea but has refused to rule out a potential switch to Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old emerged as a key figure for the west London side under previous boss Antonio Conte, thriving as a wing-back, but he appears to have lost his way since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival.
Alonso struggled to perform consistently and ultimately lost his place to Emerson Palmieri in the latter stages of the season.
Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in Alonso’s services and the Spaniard hasn’t done much to play down a potential switch, although he claims he is “happy” at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso said: “There is always talk [about a possible transfer]. When asked if he was happy about interest from Real, he said: “Yes. It means I’m doing well if other teams are trying to get in touch. I am very happy here but we will see what happens this summer.”
