Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso has said Victor Boniface will not feature in Saturday’s home game against hoffenheim.
Alonso said this in his press conference on Friday.
He, however, said Boniface should be in the squad for Wednesday’s meeting with Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Boniface has been sidelined after suffering a groin injury in the Super Eagles camp prior to the 2023 AFCON.

His return would be a huge boost for Leverkusen who are on the verge of claiming a first-ever Bundesliga title.
The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals in 16 league appearances for Alonso side.
Also, hia return is good news for the Super Eagles who would resume the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June against South Africa.
Leverkusen have 70 points and are currently 10 points clear of Bayern Munich in the league table.
