Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Becker has been nominated for the Premier League save of the month for August.
His sensational punch to the crossbar from Miguel Almiron’s shot in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday, August 27 was selected amongst the nominations.
According to premierleague.com, he was nominated alongside Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Jose Sa (Wolves), Mark Flekken (Brentford) and Alphonse Areola (West Ham).
This is the first save of the month award in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The fans have until Monday, September 11 to vote for any of the six nominated goalkeepers.
Alisson is currently with the Brazilian squad as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia on Saturday, September 9 at the Estadio Estadual Journalists Edgar Augusto Proenca and Peru on Wednesday, September 13 at the Estadio Nacional de Lima.
Alisson has made four appearances for the Reds in the Premier League this campaign.
Liverpool are currently third in the Premier League table with 10 points after four games.
