North African giants, Algeria and Morocco will present a bid to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday it has withdrawn the hosting right of the competition from Guinea.
CAF took the decision due to the country’s lack of quality infrastructure and facilities to host the 24-team competition.
Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, recently stated his country and neighbours, Benin Republic were willing to stage Africa’s flagship soccer event.

If we have to host, let’s go it alone and not co-hosting with some Rogue Countries like Benin Repblic. It is time to bear our father’s name and stop playing a big brother that does not benefit us in anyway. Let’s face it, these other African countries don’t like us. They only like us when they want to use us or have other motives. Time to borrow brains.
I hope Algeria doesn’t host it. It would be a colossal disaster. Between them killing players and attacking them in the stadium it would be a war zone. That country is not safe. They also have zero infrastructure and are struggling with basic food supplies like milk, flour and oil. We have seen lines of thousands of people standing on food lines to get basic food supplies. A simple search of the food lines in Algeria can clarify what a colossal disaster that country is. Almost a fifth world country.
