Akwa United have approved Saturday, July 27 as the resumption date for the 2024/25 season.
The players and officials of the Promise Keepers are expected to begin preparation for the new season on the same day.
The team had embarked on an end-of-season break following the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign.

According to team manager of the club, “all the players and officials are to report at the training ground on Saturday 27 July to begin intensive preparations for the upcoming football season.
” The NPFL has set a date for the resumption of the new season and looking at the fixtures released by the league organizers, we don’t have the luxury of time, so we (players and officials) have to return to camp and begin preparations and planning for the new season”.
The Promise Keepers will begin the new campaign with with a trip to Bauchi where they will Lobi Stars.
