Chuba Akpom is delighted after winning the 2018-19 Greek Super League title with PAOK, Completesports.com reports.
The Black-Whites secured a 5-0 victory over Levadiakos to be crowned the Greek champions and ended their 34 years wait for the trophy.
Akpom has been impressive for the Thessaloniki outfit since joining the side from Arsenal last summer, scoring six goals in all competitions.
The trophy is the 23-year-old’s third career title and he has taken to the social media to celebrate the achievement.
“Super League Champions, Wow after 34 years I’m honoured to be a part of making history with this special club,” Akpom tweeted.
“The love and support I’ve received from you fans have been amazing and I honestly appreciate it.
“This moment will stay with me forever (Toumba Stadium).”
On Thursday, Akpom will hope to help PAOK reach the Greek Cup final when they take on Asteras Tripolis in their semi-final second leg match.

Congrats young man…! Moving down a step has proven to be a great career decision for you.
He once turned down Nigeria but he has now repented. I encourage coach Rohr to consider him. Unfortunately I doubt if he can make the current squad to the afcon becos methinks the squad is already saturated with hotter and hungrier players. I believe after the afcon the coach can give him a look in. God bless Nigeria.
He probably needs to be more consistent first. 6 goals in ALL competitions the whole season for a striker eyeing international call ups doesn’t really raise an eyebrow. But the fact that he has finally been able to get a full season of top flight football in a permanent setting is a good omen for his career. I think he stayed too long being a “ball boy” at arsenal before leaving his comfort zone. But with the likes of Awoniyi and Osimhen staking a claim as the long term permanent top striking contenders for the SE, Akpom will have to play out his skin to get a look in, talk more of challenging the duo. But a journey of a thousand miles as they say always starts with the first stride.
