Hoffenheim defender Kevin Akpoguma is thrilled to score his first-ever Bundesliga goal, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria international netted the second goal in Hoffenheim’s 4-2 comeback win against Schalke 04 on Saturday.
The defender, who recently returned from injury connected home a corner in the 52nd minute.
The goal was his first in 67 appearances in the German top-flight.

“The first half wasn’t good, we wanted to show a different face. So it was important that we equalize quickly and get the game on our side,”Akpoguma told the club website after the game.
” We did well with Andrej’s goal and my equaliser. For me it was of course great to score the first Bundesliga goal after such a long time. I’ll let that sink in now – and then enjoy. ”
The 26-year-old has so far made 15 league appearances for his club this season.
Hoffenheim are now 11th on the table with 39 points from 32 matches.
