Semi Ajayi will be hoping to net his eight Championship goal of the season as Rotherham United try to beat the drop in a clash with Aston Villa tonight at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, Completesports.com reports.
The Super Eagles’ defender featured for 90 minutes in the Millers’ hard fought 2-1 home-win against Nothingham Forest last Saturday but failed to find the back of the net.
Rather, it was England-born Nigerian, Micheal Ihiekwe who got the second goal for Rotherham with Ajayi playing his 40th league match from which he has scored seven times.
Rotherham are in a very uncomfortable position going into the game against Villa with the home side presently occupying the 22nd spot on the table with 39 points from 40 outings.
And anything less than three maximum points can be hugely detrimental to their hopes of survival with only six rounds of matches to prosecute this season.
