Ola Aina has been voted Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month for September.
The Nigeria international received 40% of the total votes.
Aina’s international teammate Taiwo Awoniyi won the award in August.
The 26-year-old has been a consistent performer for the Tricky Trees following his departure from Serie A club Torino in the summer.
Capable of playing on either flank, the versatile full-back has operated on both the left and right side of defence so far this season, producing a string of solid displays.
He has made five league appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
Aina was on Monday named in Nigeria’s squad for this month’s friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Good time to be a Super Eagles player. Most of the players are pulling weight in their respective clubs. From player of the Month awards, to Man of the match awards, to highest goal scorers.
From Awoniyi, to Iwobi, to Aina, to Boniface, Osimhen, to Moses Simon to Lookman. Even Iheanacho and Ndidi are all pillars in their clubs.
Time to show these qualities in Super Eagles shirt and bring back the fear factor to our opponents. This is the time to dominate Africa and beyond again.
Coupled with the coach putting together a dreaded squad.
When a coach uses merit as standards in selecting players,it naturally brings success to the players both at club and country repectively.
Thumbs up brotherman @Ikeben, Super Eagles players are doing well. We are just waiting Chidera Ejuke to be included in the squad.
Heaven bless all deserving Super Eagles players
@Ignatius Abo Chidera Ejuke has been out of for since he left CSKA Moscow 2 seasons ago.
My brother @Ugo, Ejuke is in Champions league this season. He plays in Belgium which is far better than Turkey. Ejuke is far better than Fisayo fa fa fa foul.
Only God knows where Ignatius usually brings His own name of players for comparison.
