Ola Aina was on target for Nottingham Forest who thrashed West Ham 3-0 in Saturday’s Premier League game.
The last time Aina scored was November 2023 in a 2-0 win for Forest against Aston Villa.
Aina scored in the 78th minute to put Forest 3-0 ahead after Chris Wood (27 mins) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (65 mins) had scored the first and second goals respectively.
The Super Eagles defender was taken off in the 89th minute while his Nigerian teammate Taiwo Awoniyi was brought on with 11 minutes left.
The win took Forest to third place on 19 points in the league table.
In another Premier League game Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester who held Ipswich Town to a 1-1 draw.
Ndidi was in the starting line-up before he was replaced in the 71st minute by Boubakry Soumare.
The Foxes are now in 15th place on 10 points after 10 games played.
In the early kickoff Arsenal’s title hopes suffered a setback after they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United.
Alexander Isak’s first half goal was enough to seal the three points for the Magpies.
