Ola Aina says Fulham were unlucky not to come away with the three points in Sunday’s fixture against champions Liverpool at Craven Cottage.
Fulham were close to causing an upset against the Reds but eventually settled to a 1-1 draw.
The newly promoted side took the lead in the 25th minute through Bobby Reid who smashed his effort past Alisson.
But with 12 minutes left in the game Liverpool equalised thanks to Mohamed Salah who converted from the penalty spot.
And reacting to the hardfought draw, Aina praised his teammates for their performance.
Also, he expressed delight that some Fulham fans were present during the game.
“Unlucky not to take all 3 points last night. The boys done their ting, also great to have some of the fans back,” the former Chelsea player wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

If Fulham play the rest of their matches in the same manner they played Liverpool, then they will surely remain in the premiership, at a minimum.
Really exciting for Nigeria fans, the way Lookman, Aina and Tosin played. These 3 guys showed a lot of quality.
My current starting line up for SE:
Okoye
Aina, Adarabioyo, Balogun, Sanusi
Olise, Ndidi, Ejaria
Iwobi, Osimhen, Lookman
Subs
Uzoho, Osigwe
Ebuehi, Ekong, Akpoguma, Ajayi, Calvin Bassey
Aribo, Etebo
Chukwueze, Sadiq Umar, Paul Mukairu, Kalu, Noni Madueke, Dessers
26 of our very best players currently.
Of course, the selection pool is much larger, and there are a number of good players out there that are absent from the list.
Even with NFF failing to carry out their duties, a squad like this is still capable of doing Nigeria proud at the upcoming Afcon and world cup.
@Pompei, based on current form, your first-eleven selection is spot-on. The reserves may still have space for Maja; playing regularly for Bordeaux, Taiwo Awonoyi; playing and performing well in the Bundesliga, he made a great impact against Bayern,Nwobobo, Simon and Peter Olayinka..
With an effective technical bench and selfless and incorruptible nff, the current team should be able to surpass the achievement of 93-98 sets.
SE did not win a single match in 2020 and created the miracle of Benin same year.
It is my hope that the nff and the technical crew get things right next year.
@pompei, nice format, but based on experience I cannot keep two championships players in my midfield at thesame time it may backfire, you can’t compare championship to first league players unless the player have been tasted. My addition to your format is olise for chukueze, while iwobi is withdrawn to no 10 and chukueze will take his regular right wing.
Okoye
Aina aderubioyo balogun saidu
Ndidi
Iwobi ejiara
Chukueze osihmen lookman.
Bench
Ekong akpoguma awaziem ajayi ebueyi Bassey, etebo aribo olise, kalu moses/musa iheanacho/sadiq.
But the problem is that nomatter how we predict formations, despite our formation been always similar as tru fans that we are, that dancing school teacher namely Rohr will still come up with is junky format, like akpoguma for rightback, Ebueyi for 7, ajayi for midfield etc I pray oh.
I agree with what u guys said but d problem is rohr. That man’s formation is something else pls nff should do and sack him ooo. But that your formation can disturb any team in d world.
Based on current form for the past few weeks I would suggest the following players
OKOYE
AINA. AKPOGUMA. LEON. SANUSI
NDIDI.
IWOBI. ARIBO.
CHUKWUEZE. LOOKMAN.
SADIQ.U
Victor osimhen has been out injured since the last qualifiers and although paul onuachu has been scoring regularly for his team, his inability to replicate the same form for the Super Eagles means he doesn’t get a spot in the starting eleven. Ndidi is back so he gets the DM spot, no contest there. Lookman is an upgrade to musa and since Rohr doesnt want to give Ejuke more playing time maybe he would favor lookman (that’s if his switch of allegiance finally comes through), chukwueze keeps his place on the right and the creative midfield should maintain its familiar look with Creative and goal scoring midfielders Aribo and Iwobi. Etebo can come in for either of them later.
The defence consists of 4 of the most consistent defenders currently in the Super Eagles who are playing regularly for their clubs. I put them in their natural and comfortable position and I hope the Super Eagles handlers do the same.
