Ahmed Musa Has Brought Lots Of Positives To Kano Pillars — Abdallah

Kano Pillars technical adviser Usman Abdallah has showered encomium on Ahmed Musa and claimed that the Super Eagles captain has brought a lot of positives to the team.

Musa recently rejoined the Sai Masu Gida for a third stint.

The 32-year-old scored a brace in Kano Pillars’ 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars last week.

Abdallah, a former Enyimba of Aba gaffer, spoke to Completesports.com Monday morning in Uyo after his team went down 0-2 to Akwa Utd in a match day six NPFL fixture decided Sunday at the Nest of Champions, Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

“Ahmed Musa has come with a whole lot of positives to this team, Kano Pillars”, Abdalla began.

“Yesterday, (on Sunday 13 October, 2024), against Akwa Utd, he played his second match for us (Kano Pillars). He scored two goals in his first match for us against Sunshine Stars. It would have been a hattrick.

“He’s the captain of the team. He started off his career from Kano Pillars and provides that motivation and leadership on the pitch. And I’m sure you saw that yesterday during the match (against Akwa Utd).

“Besides, his presence pulls more spectators to the stadium, not just only when we play at home but when we play at away as you saw in Uyo”.

Musa began his Europe career with a move to modest, Dutch side, VVV Venlo after leaving Kano Pillars in 2010.

The pacy winger rejoined Kano Pillars in 2021 after a two-season spell at Al Nasser of Saudi Arabia.

The one-time JUTH of Jos dazzler would later signed for Turkish side, Fatih Karagümrük in 2022 from where he moved to another Turkish side, Silvasspor.

The former Flying Eagles and U23 Olympic Eagles ace is now on his third missionary journey to Kano Pillars, his boyhood club.

Kano Pillars will leave Uyo on Tuesday for Enugu where they will cross paths with NPFL title holders, Rangers, in a Match Day Seven fixture.

Abdalla said his team has the ambition to harvest all three points against the Coal City Flying Antelopes.

“We’ll play against Rangers in Wednesday’s midweek game. It will be a consecutive away fixture for us.

“Before leaving Kano, we had the ultimate ambition of snatching at least three points from the two away games.

“But having dropped the maximum points against Akwa United, we’ll have no reason not to expect an outright win against Rangers.

“If you like call it pressure, but fact is that we’re obliged to get a win in Enugu”, Abdalla stressed

Who knows…maybe you would have helped us remedy the Libya situation as fast as possible cos Libya is an Islamic/Arabic nation so maybe one or two Arabic would have solve the situation but all these Igbo boys on the team what can they do…smh..m
