Former Nigerian international Alloy Agu believes the Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle will succeed with the senior national team.
Chelle, who was appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to take over from Augustine Eguavoen on Monday, has been tasked with the responsibility of qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2026 World Cup.
In a chat with Completesports.com, Agu stated that with the array of talents at his disposal, Chelle will bring out the best from the players.

“I am delighted that the NFF has appointed a new coach in Eric Chelle to manage the Super Eagles. Many may feel that Chelle, but then the NFF must have seen reasons behind his appointment, and I believe he will succeed with the senior national team if given the free hand to operate.
“Impossible is nothing when it comes to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. With the right attitude from the players and coaches, I feel very optimistic that Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup.
“We just need to show him support and provide information where necessary; that will help the team to improve.”

What I commented on an earlier post and someone told be he plays good football. That’s I should try and watch his team’s clips.
But I asked again what has he won before? Because Nigeria is not a joke in football and deserves the best
Like play play, politic had blinded Nigerians, no sense of reasoning, no truth, politics has eaten evry sector in Nigeria, l think by the time Nigeria starting practicing Free an fair
election, den evry sector will start performing well
Your kinds like Tony K will never write anything reasonable. Leave the village and grow up.
“What has he won before?” Is that a question you have asked any white coach hired to tinker Nigerian national team before?
That ground or premise is flawed, period. All the coaches who won AFCON for us (besides, we’ve only won 3) never won anything prior to coaching Nigeria.
