Let us see if this coach has got his dose of Humility or he will still open mouh wide and be boasting like a small child, that his father can win a fight against his friends father. Mtcheeew!!
Kick and follow football that’s best bosso tactics
Senegal lose to Uganda today, with this result, especially those calling for the head of Bosso should know better now flying eagles were up against a very good side.A solid team that could potentially win the trophy.
Thumbs up Brotherman Greenturf,
I watched the match between Uganda and Nigeria and must report that Uganda were just the ‘better prepared’ team.
Bosso’s boys really tried. They equalised almost immediately after going down and only conceded the winning goal to a world class long range strike.
Happily Bosso has brought in goalkeeper Nwosu who is more skilled at preventing long range strikes.
Bosso is not a poor coach. Yes he is average but his methods are practical and effective in a healthy number of games.
I hope those of us who like to promote mediocrity can finally see clearly, the cut and join football that Bosso’s team is playing. A team comes out to play kick and run football but some of us will still say the team played well and diminish the fact that they lost and not only lost, they were also poor against Uganda.
Now that this team is proving that they need prayer and fasting, and that they need to be told that simple passing into a gapping or empty net is all you need to score a goal against South Sudan, I think those of you claiming that the team is trying will finally summon the courage to say Ladan Bosso has selected a very poor team for Nigeria and that he himself is not a good coach.
Nigeria has been playing youth football both at local and international level before South Sudan became a nation, yet it is this shambolic display that the flying eagles, curtesy of Ladan Bosso, can give NIgeria. What a shame.
Well said, this is total rubbish am watching from this team, no co-ordination
Terrible NFF selecting terrible coach who goes ahead to select terrible players for Nigeria.
So, without penalty Bosso’s team would not have been able to score against this poor South Sudan team, from a nation that started playing international football “yesterday.”
The Flying Eagles played with discipline and coordination. But they lacked dynamism and imagination which leaves their brand of football very practical rather than tactical.
Again, I don’t have so much problem with this but their center forwards lack a cutting edge and the defenders’ can be drawn out of shape.
It’s definitely not exciting to watch but manageable. A lot of Bosso critics would have vomited all over their television seeing the football played by the Flying Eagles against South Sudan which I can understand. However, some aspects of their game worked enough for them to run away winners.
If they play like this against Senegal I think they will lose so Bosso’s Boys have to raise their game.
Why am I surprised that this will be your comment. A team is very shambolic with no definite strategy from the coach but according to you they were very disciplined. You think if it was a FIFA tournament, Bameyi would not have been shown a red card against South Sudan today with his two studs tackle? Ok continue.
Bosso is parading players who so far are proving that they cannot transition to the super eagles but you are here praising them No wahala. Na hhere we dey.
Josh,
I saw passages of play when the Flying Eagles exhibited organisation and discipline.
It’s not exciting football and these aren’t the best players we can assemble.
But in all, their output was tolerable to me.
@ Deo, you see, my worry is that we have presented 2 successive youth teams (under 20 and now this under 23, this is not forgetting Ugbade’s under 17)l, whose players cannot boast of fighting for shirt in the super eagles in the next 3 to 4 years. This is my worry and not the immediate disappointment that Ladan Bosso is giving us.
We should be thinking of continuous conduit through which super eagles is fed with promising and credible players. So far the NFF and the coaches they are giving us are proving they are up to the task.
Why are you so crossed with Bosso?I didn’t see the game but just seen the highlights on youtube.
From what i saw the team is not as bad as you guys making them to be.
We created more chances and dominated possession but was goal shy.Won’t blame the boys for the mistakes displayed in some part of their game, instead the NFF are to blame for not camping the boys early enough, organise friendlies to blend them.
Do not be surprised Bosso may not even get the funding to travel to great lengths, far and wide across the regions in search of great talents.
It’s easy to seat in front of computer type and curse, but practically, especially in third world countries infected with corruption and poor funding, these things aren’t as easy as we may think.
The good thing is that we won.
There’s progression,we could do better,i hope they work on grey areas and get the result needed against big opponent Senegal.I trust these boys to progress to the knockout stages. They are getting better with games, the misunderstanding in the final third and errors found in the defence are due to they were hurriedly assembled, but with games, they will shape up because individually they’re great talents. The number 7 player has bags of tricks.
Come ooh! Na for CHAD, NIGER abi MAURITENIA na him LADEN BOSSO go select these kind of Chicken Team? Defending wahala, dribiling and goal scoring na big yawah.I dey ves with that REFEREE ,why him go award that kind penalty now.
Lol. They played today? Didn’t quite notice. I was skipping all of Bosso’s and his northern Nigeria grandpa’s news.
So they huffed and puffed to win via a penalty against… wait Sudan? No, South Sudan? Big LOL. That’s just about the same thing as a loss in standard African football.
Either way, I don’t feel an atom of emotion or attachment to this team. I’m even hoping they get knocked out quickly so we can see the rest quality team to watch.
More losses for Bosso. I hope Senegal completes the job. Until NFF removes this dictator that has installed himself on and stagnated the team for life. They even advertised positions for the U17 coach but left Bosso’s sacrosanct inheritance.
