Where are the likes of Ajakaye, Amina Bello, Taiwo Afolabi, Comfort Folurunsho, etc, those are the fulcrum of the u-17 ‘s that won bronze at the world cup in India 2 yrs ago. Or is Coach Danjuma reserving them for the u-20 World Cup proper in Colombia later in the year. ??
Ajakaye has moved to Spain, Bello is clubless (and thus likely out of form), Afolabi is captaining the U17s (although she is also likely to be in the U20 WC squad), while I am not sure what has lately become of Comfort Folorunsho – right after she made her senior Super Falcons’ debut. Perhaps she’s presently injured.
Ajakaye,Onyenedezi moved to Madrid of Spain
9jaRealist,
Ajakaye and Onyenezide moving to Spain doesn’t automatically exclude them from possible selection. Bello’s clubless status in itself doesn’t mean clubless players have never been invented to the national teams.
Comfort Folorunsho’s absence is due to the availability of promising options.
