Former Cameroon captain Samuel Eto’o believes an African country deserves to win the World Cup due to the rich talents at their disposal.
Eto’o, who won the African Player of the Year a record four times:[6] in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010, made this known ahead of the commencement of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Barcelona star told SportBible’s Instagram handle has expressed his belief that Africans possess more football talents than their European counterparts.

“Africans have a lot of talent, Europeans a bit less. I don’t see why an African country will not win a World Cup. It’s one of the easiest things to do. It’s just a couple of football matches.”
For the record, the former Barcelona and Chelsea striker had also backed the 2022 FIFA World Cup final to be an all-African contest.
He had said then (via ESPN): “Cameroon will win the World Cup final against Morocco.”

A well assembled Super eagles team with a sound technical and tactical coach like GENERAL ROAR will win it
ROHR how? ROHR isn’t close to what you call a good coach. A clueless coach, a coach who on several occasions when asked, couldn’t explain his tactics, kept saying “young team”. A coach who couldn’t explain how his team plays, couldn’t discuss tactics as regards modern day football? Yes he’s better than Peseiro, but he started the destruction of what we see today. You just love the guy and it’s quite understandable. No emotional state is balanced. If you love someone, even if the person has body odour, it would smell like the world’s best cologne to you and vice versa. That’s your situation here, not because Rohr is anywhere close to good. Lolz make we hear word this guy!
Yes, it is true. With our clueless coach Pesero, Nigeria will not only qualify but also win the next world cup. A ti wo one chance!
My man, body odour can never ever smell like cologne. Mbanu.
Rohr’s achievements speaks for him.
He met every target he was given, qualified us for every major tournament during his tenure, got respectable results in friendlies with football powerhouses. Beat current world champions Argentina sans Messi 4-2, drew 1-1 with Brazil.
If that is body odour, then body odour will soon become a much sought after fragrance. In fact, pipo will abandon cologne and go looking for body odour.
Rohr’s supporters don’t like him because of his white skin. He doesn’t look or sound impressive. In fact, if you go to the SE camp, you can easily mistake him for a baggage hand. To some, he may not look like a coach. BUT HIS RESULTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE, to an honest unbiased observer.
Some will say he was lucky. But which kain luck be dat? A person keeps passing his college exams? Is that luck, or the fruits of hard work? If he had just a few good results, we can call it luck. But to get results over and over again, meeting targets over and over again? Nah, that can’t be luck.
A lion does not luckily catch an antelope ALL THE TIME. Maybe the lion gets lucky sometimes, but luck is not the lion’s meal ticket. There is a method to the madness.
And then when you recall that Rohr managed to achieve all these things while not getting paid, players also not getting paid, and he’s having to work with clueless administrators? How did he manage to produce in such a chaotic environment?
Even with the hindrance that is NFF ONIGBESE, Rohr still managed to get us the 2019 Afcon bronze. Could he have won the trophy with better admin support? Many would say yes.
Well said @pompei @ob please take note
