French Ligue 1 club Nantes showed support to their Nigerian star Moses Simon and his Super Eagles teammates following their ordeal in Libya.
The Eagles who flew into Libya on Sunday had their plane diverted to another destination.
They were then detained by Libyan authorities for over 10 hours.
Simon then took to his X handle to write:”Super Eagles weathering the situation in Libya as we are held hostage.”
Reacting to the incident Nantes also took to their X handle to show their support.
“Courage to the @NGSuperEagles
We’re with you @Simon27Moses.”
Meanwhile, the players have since departed Libya and are back in Nigeria after deciding not to go ahead with the game.
