Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has backed the likes of Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi and Kelechi Iheanacho to deliver the goods in the absence of Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen will miss the team’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya due to injury.
The Galatasaray forward’s absence will be a big blow for the Super Eagles, who have relied on him for goals in recent outings.

Eguavoen believed the other strikers will do well in his absence.
“Football is all about collective effort, it’s a team sport not individual sport,” Eguavoen told the Super Eagles media.
“It’s a huge miss. We all know how important and impactful Osimhen can be, but we have other players who can do the job.
“He’s not here physically, but he’s with us spiritually.”

Lool!!! “…the farther backward you can look the farther forward you can see” Without Osimhen, Peseiro struggled in the WC qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe. His absence, per Finidi, cost us games against SA and Benin. If you like be inviting players that are yet to kick a ball this season. Let me hold my peace sha. Good luck!
Man Mi leave story. Iheanacho will do the business. Are you trying to say Osimhen is far better than Iheanacho?
Benjamin Tanimu is from Benin City… Eguaveon is from Edo state… what is the connection? Eguadiola is a fraud…
People say Benjamin Tanimu is northern quota.
Tanimu is a Kaduna boy. He only played for Bendel Insurance
